First Round of Comprehensive Skills Training to be Launched in Sichuan for "3000+" Patrol Rangers

Recently, at the Giant Panda National Park Nature Education Carnival, the Sichuan Forestry and Grassland Bureau (Sichuan Bureau of Giant Panda National Park) and the Nature Conservancy (TNC) jointly released the "3000+ patrol  Rangers comprehensive skills training project".

The Sichuan section of the Giant Panda National Park now has about 3,000 front-line patrol rangers. On the basis of consolidating the existing cooperation results, the two sides will, starting from 2023, implement comprehensive skills training for front-line patrol and scientific research personnel in accordance with the concept of "one specialty and multiple capabilities", effectively enhance the comprehensive ability of patrol personnel in explanation, publicity, and other aspects, promote the orderly transformation of patrol monitoring experience, typical stories, and protection achievements into nature education and science popularization course content and activities in accordance with the law, enrich the work place environment and experience of frontline patrol and scientific research personnel, and improve their living as well as material well-being.

It is reported that the first round of training for the project will officially start in Chengdu in mid-December 2023 (tentatively planned on December 15). Adhering to the principle of offline as the main and online as supplementary, the training will be conducted adopting the approaches such as combining online and offline, combining primary with advanced skills, Combining natural education explanation skills with related skill explanations. The training frequency has been arranged as such: once online training, once offline training, and 1 post-training practice excellent results sharing per year, for three consecutive years.
